Updates

Membership of the UN Security Council changes each year on January 1st. The question of how the religious demography of the Security Council differs from that of the world and differs over time is addressed in this query: Security Councils over time. Religious Traditions is a new page this quarter designed to make it easier to answer questions such as "What is the breakdown of Sunnis and Shias in Pakistan" (see 'Muslim traditions' query). Currently reconciled WRD best estimates are available for Buddhists, Christians and Muslims and the page will be expanded progressively to cover other religions.
